Trip Insurance

Vacationing in Guanaja involves several travel variables, including your international flights into Roatan and ferry or charter flight transfers to/from Guanaja. Although trip interruptions to reach Guanaja are not common, they do happen. If you miss the ferry on your arrival Saturday, or the ferry is unable to travel due to weather or other situations) You may incur expenses such as taking a private charter flight to Guanaja or the costs of transfer, hotel, and meals if you have to stay overnight in Roatan. If you do not have trip insurance, you will be responsible for these expenses.  You will also be forfeiting the value of your missed nights in your Resort package.

For this reason, we consider trip insurance a necessity for every guest.

So that we can be sure you understand what Villa on Dunbar Rock is responsible for and what you, as the traveler, are responsible for, we ask that you let us know your plans for securing trip insurance by choosing one of the following options:

  • I have trip protection benefits via the credit card used to purchase the reservation. (Please be sure to research your credit card’s travel benefits related to who it covers, in addition to the cardholder.)
  • I have/will be purchasing trip insurance through the travel agency or dive shop that booked this trip for me.
  • I have/will be purchasing trip insurance from my chosen insurance company.
  • I have/will be purchasing trip insurance from the Dunbar Rock Reservations Office.
  • I am choosing not to purchase trip insurance. I acknowledge my responsibility for paying all travel expenses incurred due to trip disruption, cancellation, or any other circumstance should any travel variables go amiss. I understand I will also be forfeiting the value of my missed nights in the Resort package.

We have a wide range of trip insurance policy options we can offer you if you are interested!

We also encourage all divers to have Dan Master Insurance Plans.
