Perched on a cay with 360° views of Sandy Bay, Guanaja, and surrounding cays, this unique resort blends beauty, serenity, and something unidentifiable in a laid-back, inviting atmosphere.
The Villa was originally built as a private residence. It opened as a resort in the early 2000's. Spread across 4 floors is the 15,000-square-foot property. The ground level provides access to a white sand beach perfect for lounging, swimming, snorkeling and diving. Our PADI dive center is located just off the dive docks.
A set of wide stairs leads to a roomy terrace before passing the entrance to the Presidential Suite, then a few more steps to the "main level" or third floor with a central courtyard. The courtyard is filled with lush tropical plants and our two rescued resident parrots. Birders/nature lovers will have no shortage of opportunities to photo or video the Green Breasted Mango and other Hummingbirds that frequent the feeders.
When not in their rooms, most guests tend to spend their time on this third level, which includes the Great Room with the property's only TV, a comfortable seating area and an inside dining room. In addition, this is also the location of the infinity pool and pool bar. Not surprisingly, this is a favorite location for happy hour and to watch the sunset, though the best sunset view may be enjoyed sitting on the porch swings on the 4th floor.
